About me

Hi, I'm Oisín. Raised on Achill Island among a family of artists, I'm a surfer, musician, marketer, and videographer.

I've developed a broad digital skill base over the past eight years, however, specialise in paid Meta advertising and video production. See below for a full breakdown of how I approach each of these and for some examples of videos I’ve produced for my other business - Folklorr.

That said, I’m comfortable rolling up my sleeves and getting stuck into most areas within marketing. My skills include, paid social, SEM, email marketing, web analytics, CRM management, video/photography, website building, copywriting etc.

Paid Meta advertising

I specialise in advertising on Meta, which operates both Facebook and Instagram. Meta is by far the most popular social media company out there today, the sheer size of its user-base and unparalleled variety of demographics means that you can gain access to your ideal customers, no matter who or where they are.

With the right expertise, these platforms are still able to produce best-in-class ROI (return on investment) for virtually any business.

Advertising process

Ad account audit

If you’ve previously marketed on the platform, I begin with an extensive ad account audit, which can help identify areas for improvement and speed up the optimisation process, making sure your campaigns get off to the best start possible.

Sales funnels & campaign structure

I assess the products and/or services you offer and implement the sales funnel that I believe will deliver the best results for you at the lowest cost. I then implement the campaign structure that best aligns with your business. Each one is designed to facilitate A/B testing across multiple variables simultaneously, without overloading the algorithm’s optimisation process.

Target audience research

I carry out detailed market research to find high-performing targeting options for your business. Where possible, I also create audiences from your list of previous customers and/or previous marketing activities. I also set up remarketing audiences to put ads in front of people who have previously interacted with you online.

Competitor analysis

I research your competition and see whether they’re running ads on the platform. If they are, I analyse their best-performers to see what works, and implement some of these key elements into the strategy. This gives you a great head-start for your ads.

Ad copy & creative

I create ads that ‘stop the scroll’ and drive the customer to the next step in your sales funnel. I take great care with the wording and visual content for all your ads. However, if you want ads that perfectly represent your brand and provide a truly exceptional customer experience, I can create custom content for you (see below).

Testing & optimisation

This is the key driver for increasing campaign profitability over time. It’s where your performance goes from good to great. I methodically A/B test numerous targeting options, ad formats, ad copy, ad creative etc. to discover the ideal combination of variables. Basically, I train the algorithm to put the right ad in front of the right person at the right time.

Video production

Having great content is no longer a 'nice-to-have', it’s essential for telling your brand story, establishing credibility, and conveying the unique value your business offers. I can take you from the initial ideation all the way through to completion. I specialise in video production, copywriting, and photography.

My preferred medium, however, is video, as I feel that it’s the best way to tell a great story that connects with your potential customers. I can create anything from short videos ads that perfectly represent your brand to more long-form video for your website, and everything else in between.

Production process

Goals

We discuss the overall goal for your content - is it for your website, your social media account, your paid social media ads etc. I then create a basic format and structure for the content to align with these goals.

Brand storytelling & creative

We discuss the key areas that make you and your brand special, and the best way we can convey this. I then do some independent research and generate a few potential concepts as well as some ideas for the ‘visual language’ and tone of the content.

Logistics

Finally, I create a detailed plan containing budget, responsibilities, deadlines etc. I then execute on that plan, creating content that perfectly aligns with all goals discussed.

Pre-production

We plan out all the locations and required shots and place them in a detailed shot list. If you want to use your voice or to be interviewed for the video, I'll help you to craft a strong script so you can really drive home what you do and the value you bring to your customers.

The shoot

We agree on a day for the shoot to take place. If parts of the shoot take place outside, I also check the weather a few days out to confirm whether or not it’s suitable. On the day, one of my highly-experienced videography partners will come and capture all the footage required for the edit.

Post-production

First (where applicable), I edit your voiceover or interview, making sure that you’re sounding your very best and delivering a clear message. I then evaluate all the footage, laying down the very best clips into a cohesive story. Next, I apply a soundtrack, colour grade, and some graphics to enhance the overall tone of your video before sending you the  finalised version.
