Lucy’s comes from the picturesque seaside village of Flushing on the Cornwall coast. She has always had a deep relationship with the natural world around her, which is the source of her inspiration.
Lichen has translated through her designs from the very beginning of her journey as a jeweller. She loves the delicate nature of these little-known organisms, which are one of the bedrocks of the local ecosystem.
More recently, the inspiration for her work has expanded. Ancient monoliths, which are scattered throughout the surrounding countryside, have become a major influence as well as local endangered species. She engraves a range of her jewellery with the names of these vulnerable beings that we share our world with. Her ultimate wish is for her work to spark conversation, helping people to be more mindful of the wild places around them and realise that they are, in fact, part of that world.

The black and gold Mylor rings are a piece of raw understated luxury inspired by the form and texture of the rocky outcrops and dry stonewalls around the Mylor coastline in Cornwall.
Each strip of silver and gold is hand-cut, filed and beautifully textured using Lucy’s grandad’s old hammers before being soldered to the surface of the ring. The ring is then oxidised and polished back in parts, creating a dark backdrop punctuated with slashes of silver and gold.
Hand-crafted contemporary organic jewellery for people who love wild places. Inspired by and made in Cornwall.
Size: 12mm wide
